What can you expect when you train with me?

My approach to supporting clients in their transition from unhealthy lifestyle nutrition patterns to nutrition and food knowledge empowerment is multifaceted and client-centred. I guide individuals and groups through a process of self-discovery, helping them navigate the complex maze of food information often circulating on social media.

My aim is to provide clients with a personalised toolkit in 3-7 sessions, customised to their unique needs and situations. Together, we will evaluate if follow-ups are necessary.

At every step of our path you will make an agreement with yourself, not with me.

You can expect to make your own shopping lists on a budget, to set up a variety of options for your meal planning, you can expect to cook together even from remote. I don't use much the word "diet," so please don't expect one from me. Instead, you will develop your own food education with my guidance. We will evaluate your emotions towards foods and connect with your taste buds to identify the foods best suited to your current needs through body response tests.

I aim to transfer nutrition understanding, encouraging clients to listen attentively to their bodies and emotions, and to identify both their preferences and nutritional requirements. This approach goes beyond merely changing life habits; it involves rediscovering what truly nourishes their health and well-being. It is a bespoke methodology in which the client builds their own agreements regarding food and lifestyle medicine, fostering long-term, sustainable change.

A key aspect of my methodology, developed through my education in plant-based nutrition at Winchester University and ongoing training, combined with my workshop leadership and counselling background, is fostering a mindful food-body relationship. This involves cultivating awareness of how different foods affect one's emotional, physical, and mental state, leading to significant health improvements. By developing this deeper understanding, clients are empowered to make informed choices about their nutrition, resulting in sustainable, long-term health benefits.

My primary focus is on supporting cancer patients and survivors through personalised nutrition coaching. Recognising the unique challenges faced by this group, we offer tailored advice that takes into account individual medical histories, treatment plans, and specific nutritional needs. This personalised approach ensures that each client receives the most effective and appropriate nutritional guidance for their situation, potentially improving their quality of life and supporting their recovery process.

Importantly, I operate on a gift economy model. This innovative approach allows us to provide our services to those who need them most, regardless of their financial situation. It fosters a sense of community and mutual support, aligning with our belief that good nutrition should be accessible to all, especially those facing health challenges. This model not only makes our services more accessible but also creates a unique, supportive ecosystem around our work.

In addition to one-on-one coaching, I offer group cooking coaching sessions and create engaging content on plant-based nutrition in an online community forum on the Mighty Network platform. This forum serves multiple purposes:

  • Providing valuable information and resources on plant-based diets and their potential health benefits

  • Offering recipes and lifestyle coaching with an array of self-development tools

  • Fostering a supportive community of health advocates who can share experiences and motivate each other

  • Allowing for broader dissemination of nutritional knowledge, extending the reach of our work beyond individual clients

Through these various initiatives, I aim to address the pressing need for improved nutritional awareness and practices, particularly among those facing serious health challenges. By empowering individuals with knowledge and fostering a supportive community, I strive to contribute to better health outcomes and improved quality of life for our clients and the wider community. My ultimate goal is to make a humble yet significant contribution to addressing the global challenges of climate change, food sovereignty, sustainable agriculture, and public health, one individual and one community at a time.
